Duck Race!

On Friday 31st March 2023 there will be a duck race held in each class. To enter the race, buy a duck for 50p by Thursday 30th March! Each class will have their own winner and there is a prize for and trophy for the class that sells the most ducks!

The ducks have been having a pre-race warm up in the Zen Den!

Class Calendars for 2023

For those of you who missed the Christmas Fayre, the Hawthornden A3 Class Calendars are available for order. The cost of each calendar is £2.50 or you can buy 3 for £6.50.

We would require orders and full payment by Monday 12th December 2022 so that the order can be emailed on Tuesday 13th December to try and get the calendars ordered from the supplier and hopefully out to children before Christmas.  Please note, that for this reason, no late orders will be accepted/processed.  Please do not contact our school office to request any further orders after the cut-off date. Letters about this are being sent home.

P7 Open Evening at Lasswade High School

Lasswade High School’s annual P7 Open Evening is taking place on Wednesday 26th October 6pm – 7.30pm. LHS are delighted to report that it will be in the school building and not on Zoom. To find out more read the letter here or download your own copy.

Introductory Child Poverty and Cost of the School Day Session for Parents/Carers

As part of Challenge Poverty Week Midlothian Council and NHS Scotland are delighted to be offering an introductory Child Poverty and Cost of the School Day session to parents/carers/parent councils in the Midlothian area.

The session will help participants to better understand poverty, financial barriers to education and how they can be reduced and removed.
